DirtyBird Recording is a pro audio recording studio nestled in the woods of east Norman near the shores of Lake Thunderbird. The studio is an upstairs/downstairs log cabin style studio building loaded with piano, drums, organ, guitars, dobro, banjo, mandolin, lap steel +. Lines and space to record a live band. Travis Linville also offers music lessons here at the recording studio on a very limited basis. Travis started teaching in 1994 and has instructed well over 1000 students on guitar, bass, music theory, songwriting, mandolin, banjo, dobro and more. Linville took 7 years of private instruction with jazz great Joe Settlemires (Ella Fitzgerald/Texas Playboys), 2 years guitar performance at the University of Oklahoma, 3 years of music ed at University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and has attended classes with many other industry greats like Pat Martino (Thelonious Monk), Pete Yellin (Miles Davis), Clint Strong (Merle Haggard), Rick McRay (George Strait).
